Tasting notes from a tea shop mystery

Can you learn about tea by reading a murder mystery?  Yes, you can.  I recently read Oolong Dead, the number 10 mystery in the Laura Childs's "Tea Shop Mystery" series and was pleasantly surprised by Childs's tasting notes on several teas.

"A nice pungent liquor is fairly typical with teas from Northeast India."

Grand Pouchong (a Chinese oolong)
"Fine gold color, delicate aroma."

Nepalese black tea (base of Mt Everest)
"This delicious tea offered a bouquet of lotus, sandalwood, and honey."

What are your thoughts on Assam, Grand Pouchong, and Nepalese black tea?
